Let him play!

I know what the guy did was wrong. I dont condone fighting , or killing animals, but there are more important things in life to worry about than killing dogs. Again, what he did was wrong with out a doubt, but the man served his time. He lost his job, and millions of dollars. He did the crime, and he did the time. He deserves a second chance. We're talikng about a guy who was the face of the NFL, and one of the best QB's in the league. The best athlete hands down. I dont see the point of Roger Goodell punishing him on top of the legal punishment that he's already gone through. He has agreed to help P.E.T.A, and he did his community service. Let the guy play. Let the fans decide his fate. Im sure there will be some that boo him, but there will be many more who cheer him in his return. I for one will be cheering. Though out sports history. We've accepted players who have done crimes, and quickly forgot about them. I for one dont care what they do in their personal life. I dont turn on the tv to watch what they do out side of their respective sport. There are a few exceptions. Murder, and rape of course. There are so many ahtletes that we've forgotten about the bad things that they've done, and to this day celebrate them as if those things never happened. Baseball fans love Pete Rose, and the man bet on his own team whle managing them. Lawrence Taylor was a crack head, and he's in the Hall of Fame. Magic Johnson cheated on his wife, and contracted AIDS. Kobe Bryant (allegedly) raped a woman, and here he is winning the NBA finals. Jim Brown is a flat out racist. Brett Farve was hooked on pain killers. Evander Holyfield has about 32 kids. Joe Namith was a womanizer. How many times has Michael Irvin been arrested, or pulled over for drugs? Michael Phelps smoking weed. Muhamad Ali refusing to fight for our country, and losing his title because of it. Michael Jordan's millions of dollars in gambling debts.. I mean the list goes on and on. There are far worse things that athletes have done than killing some dogs. Sorry O.J., and John Rocker. You two are on a list of your own. The point is. Is that all of these guys have done their time, whether in jail, or the emotional, and mental beat down from the media, and the fans. We all forgot about it, and moved on. What makes Michael Vick so different?

I want to agree with you on this one. Me and some guys at work discussed this topic last night and I say hey I don't like what he did but he was punished for it, served his time and now its only right that he get a chance to try out for a team. Until the NFL passes a rule that states you can not play in the NFL if you are a convicted fellon then let the man try for a job. Its no different than if we tried to get our jobs back after going to jail. And I don't even like the over rated Vick but fair is fair. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS
